Hi, I’m Clarisse, a Filipina illustrator and multidisciplinary designer born and raised in the Philippines, now living and working in NYC. Surprisingly, I have had an interesting, varied experience wearing many hats—from working as an assistant designer for a boutique florist, learning and working on pleating fabric techniques, to being a bag and clothing designer working on natural materials with local artisans in the Philippines.

With the experience of creating beauty and form with my hands, I found delight in highlighting details in my designs and illustrations that feature humanity, nature, and their shared connection. I hope to create attention-grabbing imagery and authentic experiences that inspire.

I’m working on an illustration series, Quaranfeelings, exploring the art of grieving for pre-pandemic feelings and thoughts with a renewed sense of moving forward.

Occasionally, I write on my blog, Dear Artist — discussing the beauty of the creative process and practice.

During the day, I specialize in social media management at an advertising agency focusing on luxury brands and luxury real estate in NYC.
